Born on December 2, 1981 in Cape Town South Africa Lesley-Ann Brandt is an actress and model, best known for her appearances in both TV shows and films. Having started her acting career in the New Zealand sitcom Diplomatic Immunity Brandt's American debut came in the form of her first role as Naevia in the drama of the same name, Spartacus: Blood and Sand. The actress was featured on several television shows over the past 10 years, including Spartacus: Gods of the Arena CSI: NY Single Ladies The Librarians and Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. Since 2016 Brandt has been playing the character in the role of Mazikeen in the popular urban fantasy show Lucifer which stars Tom Ellis Lauren German and Kevin Alejandro. Brandt was raised in Cape Town South Africa and after that, she moved from Cape Town to Auckland New Zealand with her family when she was in her teens. Her first job was as a model, appearing in advertisements, commercials and printed ads. She worked in sales, and also worked as consultant for information technology prior to becoming renowned for her work as a model. She landed her first featured part in 2009 on the New Zealand sitcom Diplomatic Immunity where she took on the character as Leilani Fa'auigaese. In 2021 she appeared in Spartacus Blood and Sand as a slave-girl Naevia. The character of Naevia was recast in the Spartacus prequel Spartacus Gods of the Arena. Craig Parker was her co-star in three separate TV shows such as Diplomatic Immunity (2009), Spartacus (2010), and Legend of the Seeker (2008). She was cast as Mazikeen the demon that is a bounty hunter in the hit Netflix show Lucifer. It is her largest role to date. In the show, she co-stars with Tom Ellis Lauren French Kevin Alejandro D. B. Woodside.
